40 Bay Area Start-ups… and You

Our First Greylock Techfair

On the heels of our second annual greylock hackfest, we’re thrilled to be hosting our first ever greylock techfair for CS and technical students this Sunday, August 4th in San Francisco, CA.

But this isn’t your average tech fair…

In addition to connecting students with engineers (no recruiters!) from over 40 Bay Area start-ups and companies including AirbnbFacebook,LinkedinDropboxElectric ImpYelpPinterest,Flipboard — and many more, we will also be hosting some of the tech industry’s biggest names to talk about what they wish they had known when they were starting out in their career.

Our series of five inspirational talks will take place throughout the day and includes former Facebook CTO & co-founder of recently launched, start-up Quip, Bret Taylor. These tech pioneers and leaders will be covering a variety of topics to help students better think about the choices ahead of them: should you choose the job offer with the bigger paycheck? What does your network say about you to prospective employers? Should I start a company or join one? Greylock Partner and former Mozilla CEO, John Lillywill also be in attendance to help answer all these questions and more.

Want to attend? You must be a ‘14 graduate or beyond and have until Saturday, August 3rd to apply— but space is limited. Don’t forget to check out http://greylocku.com/techfair/ for a full list of companies, speakers and the day’s agenda.
