Greylock Partners Promotes Isaac Fehrenbach and David Thacker to Associate Partner
January 12, 2010 San Mateo, CA—January 12, 2010—Greylock Partners, a Silicon Valley venture capital firm, today announced the promotions of Isaac Fehrenbach and David Thacker to the position of associate partner.

Isaac Fehrenbach leads Greylock’s cleantech efforts. He invests in early stage companies that operate at the intersection of cleantech and IT. He also invests in growth stage cleantech businesses. Isaac joined Greylock in 2003 as an associate. During his tenure he sourced Greylock’s investments in Data Robotics and ZeroG Wireless and was a board observer at Data Domain (acquired by EMC), RightNow (Nasdaq:RNOW), Tabula, and ZeroG Wireless. Isaac represented Greylock on the board of SunEdison, North America’s largest solar services company, purchased by MEMC (NYSE:WFR) in 2009 for $340 million.
Isaac’s prior operating experience includes marketing, product design and development roles at companies such as Altera and Cypress Semiconductor. Isaac earned an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSEE from the University of Michigan.
David Thacker invests in consumer and enterprise technology ventures, including sectors such as software-as-a-service (SaaS), mobile, e-commerce and online advertising. David joined Greylock as a principal in late 2008. During his tenure David brought to the firm a number of investments, including Gowalla, Pandora and Redfin. He advises several Greylock companies including Auditude, Oodle, Pandora and Redfin and is on the board of directors at Gowalla.
David’s operating and product experience includes five years at Google, where he oversaw the development of key components of Google’s advertising products and drove the expansion of products into international markets. He also held product, software engineering and management roles at pcOrder/Trilogy, IBM, and Electronic Arts. David earned an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA in Computer Science and Economics from Duke University.
