Mike joined Greylock in 2004. He oversees the executive search initiatives of the firm.
Mike has 30 years of experience as executive search consultant, human capital partner in a venture capital firm and head of human resources in both private and public companies. His personal executive search experience has focused heavily on vice president and C-level placements for pre-public enterprise software and telecom companies on the East Coast and in Silicon Valley.
Before Greylock Mike served as the recruiting/human resources partner at a major venture capital firm, where he handled over 50 executive searches, several CEO coaching and board-level human resources consulting assignments per year, also on both coasts. Prior to that role Mike was Intuits first vice president of human resources, helping to guide the firm's growth from 200 to over 3500 employees and from under $100 million to over $600 million in revenue. Previously Mike served as head of staffing and head of human resources Apple USA during similar periods of rapid growth. Earlier, he held the role of worldwide head of human resources for the petroleum and mining divisions of Norton Company.
Mike holds a BA in Economics from Amherst College and an MBA from Boston College with a concentration in Management Information Systems. He has served on the board of directors or advisory boards of several private companies and not-for-profit organizations.
