Isaac leads Greylock’s cleantech practice and has a substantial background in cleantech, semiconductors, and communications.
Most recently he led Greylock’s investment in
SunEdison, North America’s largest solar energy services company and served as board member at SunEdison until the company was acquired by
MEMC (NYSE:WFR) for $340 million in 2009. He is currently a board member at
SiTime.
Isaac is enthusiastic about working with entrepreneurs starting new businesses that focus on the intersection of IT and cleantech, particularly if they leverage chips, systems, software, or the power of the Internet. He is also interested in investing in later stage businesses with proven models that require growth capital, spanning all sectors of cleantech.
Prior to joining Greylock, Isaac was responsible for all aspects of product and strategic marketing at
Tabula including the definition of the company’s product.
Previously, Isaac was an associate at Greylock. During that time, he sourced Greylock’s investments in
Data Robotics and
ZeroG Wireless. He was also a board observer at
Data Domain (acquired by EMC),
RightNow (RNOW), Tabula, and ZeroG Wireless. In addition, he has held a variety of marketing and sales positions at Altera and Cypress Semiconductor.
Isaac has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BSEE from the University of Michigan.
