Laurel joined Greylock in 2008 and is based in London. Her areas of focus include: software, mobile, internet infrastructure and e-commerce, and where Europe is a key market.

Laurel has over 10 years investment experience. She is a former GE executive, and joined Greylock Israel from JVP, where she sourced and led many of the firm's Israeli and European successful investments including QLIKTECH, TOUCH CLARITY (acquired by Omniture, OMTR), EARNIX, OBLICORE and CELLTICK over a six year career.

Prior to joining Greylock, Laurel was a General Partner at JVP in London, where she led the European investment and business development effort.
Prior to JVP, Laurel was a Director at GE Capital in London, where she led a team responsible for principal acquisitions in consumer and transport finance in Europe. Laurel also led the establishment of GE's early stage tech investment vehicle. Before GE Capital, Laurel worked for the MAC Consulting Group (later Gemini Consulting) in South Africa.

Laurel holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town and an MBA from INSEAD.
